Nancy Gruca, our banquet manager, has been involved in decorating and interior design pretty much all of her life. She studied interior and architectural design in college and has used her creative talents in every aspect of her life and career.
Nancy’s background in sales and business management has complemented her 14 years in the restaurant management business. Her restaurant career began in Seattle, Washington where she learned all aspects of restaurant management from a savvy businesswomen who successfully maintained a landmark restaurant for 38 years. This owner transformed an historical beach resort home into a beautiful Victorian Restaurant; complete with sterling silver serving pieces, crystal and china, and elegant service. There, Nancy learned most everything she knows about the business.
Moving to Michigan, Nancy continued her talents as a server and then Dining Room Manager for the St. Clair Inn in St. Clair, Michigan. During her 8 years at the St. Clair Inn, Nancy decorated the dining rooms and trained the staff to service the customers with quality attention to detail. Nancy brought this same level of enthusiasm and work ethics to the Tin Fish Resort first as a server, then dining room manager and currently as the Banquet Manager.
Nancy is a proud member of the management team at the Tin Fish Resort where she gets to work in a field she loves. Here’s a personal note from Nancy –
“I love people; I love to entertain and I love to decorate – at the Tin Fish I get to do all of these things. I will use my experience and creative expertise to make your special occasion successful and a night you will always remember.
My motto is: People will not remember what you do or say, but they will always remember how you make them feel. I intend to make you and your guests feel like each and every one was treated as if they were the most special person at the event.
My staff and I will give you Hospitality beyond any of your expectations.” |
